What to expect on the day
Arrive with clean, bare lips — no balm, gloss, or liner. Numbing is applied for 20–30 minutes before the procedure begins. During the session, mild pressure is normal. Lips will look bold, slightly swollen, and two to three shades darker immediately after. That is completely expected.
The healing timeline
Healing takes four to six weeks for the full result:
- Days 1–3: Lips look darker and more saturated than expected. This is normal. They may feel slightly swollen.
- Days 4–10: Peeling and flaking begins. Do not pick. The outer pigment layer comes away, revealing softer colour beneath.
- Weeks 2–4: A "ghosting" phase where colour appears lighter. The pigment is settling into the dermis.
- Week 4–6: Colour reappears, softer and more natural. This is your healed result.
What are the results?
